We just wanted to share with everyone what an amazing success you made the Books for Shay drive. With your help we collected five thousand books to deliver to the Richmond County Intermediate Literacy and Math School. We all are beyond humbled and blessed for the love and support. We know Shaylin Foster is dancing on rainbows in heaven. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to making this an annual event. #smileforShay #booksforShay #lovelikeShay
Shaylin Elizabeth Foster Humanitarian Scholarship is for a graduating senior who demonstrate the character traits that our daughter Shaylin lived by daily. These traits included love, compassion, kindness, empathy, and a generous spirit. It is not based on exemplary academic performance, class attendance, or financial need.
Shaylin Foster was a senior at Grovetown High School known for her generous spirit, acts of kindness, and compassion for others. Shaylin was an avid reader who believed that readers are leaders. She loved to share her love of reading with her brothers. January 10 marks the second anniversary of the day that Shaylin left this world. In honor of her memory we are trying to assist children that have little to no access to books. If you would like to honor Shaylin’s memory please donate a new or gently used book to Grovetown Elementary, Grovetown High School, or Quest Church between now and January 10th to support this mission.
